Name---Bob Sparkman (southern Indiana)
Age----53
Occupation--Bar Manager
Strain----Jaconettes (from Dan Taylor in Missouri)
Goals-----To continue enjoying rollers. To get some young people interested in rollers by helping them get a start.
Compete?----This is my first year of competition. I will enter the fall fly. Right now all I have competed in is division fly's with the Southern Indiana Roller Club. Still have a ways to go but I am learning. I have had rollers on and off for many years but never competed before. It could become an addiction.

Do I have birds for sale?? Nope! Not my bag of tea. Having fun with them is.

6. Do you compete in kit comps (Club,Fall Fly World Cup)
I currently fly in my club fly's (SGVS). Would love to fly in other competitions and am planning on it. Although this is my first year, I think my birds would be doing better if they would survive the many attacks they suffer.

I raised rollers when I was younger with my brother, but had to give them up and as of last October 2006 just got back into them and am very serious about them. I am enjoying them and the new friends I have made even with the rough start in the hobby...

Keep my birds at friends home we share in the sport, as this stuck up place I live has a fit if I have birds.
I have flown rollers from 1955 to current but took some time to do the show thing in 77 to 86 I just got up and dumped the show birds Emerson’s, alcorns, out they went. Hope to have a performing kit in a year or two they were looking ok not great then we got hit the whole kits is a mess right now but hope to get them settled down.

OCCUPATION: Corporate Securities Trader [stocks, options, stock warrants, bonds & preferred stock]

Amateur Bodybuilder (occupational hobby)
******************************************************
STRAIN: Birds are Plona/Hardesty with a touch of Norm Reed and just recently added some 514 Hilton for good measures. My family of birds tends to run deeper on average (40ft to 60ft) than what's happening with today's modern competition kits; which average around 20ft to 30ft. Frequency remains a big issue and here at Deep Spin Lofts we are scientifically trying to breed more frequency into our family of performing rollers through bio-genetic engineering.
*******************************************************
GOALS: To expand the rolly hobby amongst others with my "Deep Spin Line" & "White Lightning Family" of rolling pigeons. Hope to do all I possibly can to preserve the roll for many generations to come. Winning the World Cup in the future would mean the world to me for all the hard work (blood, sweat & tears) I put into this sport. My ultimate goal is to simply enjoy the dynamic aerial performance of roller pigeons and the wonderful folks I meet from to time in the sport.

goals in the hobby are to listen and learn from the experienced rollerman and utilize their teachings in my breeding and flying program. Work hard with my family of birds and maybe redefine and improve what is already their in these two families. To enjoy my birds and not go nuts when the birds arent flying the way you think they should and fly with a local club.

6. Do you compete in kit comps (Club,Fall Fly World Cup)
One day I would eventually like to fly with a local club, then fall fly and world cup.

I own a small fence company and hold a real estate licence I say "semi-retired" cause i already been "fully tired" once or twice.

I have predominately Elis McDonald and Bobby Bradley Jacs as well as a couple of other strains that i play around with.

My main goal is just to enjoy my birds thats why i got them in the first place. Secondly winning the WC or the FF would be nice.

I fly in every competition available to me for the past 3 years i have been back in the hobby. I have learned alot by doing this.
