Thanks liljess
I had the reds seperate just for the photo. They are mixed ages and fly in their respective kits.I bred all the checks from one pair this season. That mealy red-barred bird is one hot spinning hen from Al Hunt.A Monty bloodline bird.

Kelley,

really beautiful! You really have a handle on the gardening and the birds judging from the photos.

How's your team looking for the Fall fly coming up?

Thanks for posting.

Ken,
Thanks,I'm getting there with the birds if only I can get past the BOPs.Most of my birds from last year have been lost the SOBs but I have some good ones coming up.I started breeding early in Jan this year but didn't get ahead by doing that at all.For some reason most of the young from the first round got taken or just were shitty at kitting. The second and third round I've only lost one bird so far (touch wood) and they are both rounds kitting really well with the 2nd round starting to show their stuff. Our club up here in BC is having a Fall fly but not till November.I'm trying to get them to change to October because by Nov our area on the coast here is inundated with Coopers.Right now it seems the Peris must be teaching their young to catch easier prey as they've been leaving my birds alone for the last couple weeks.I have only 15 left from last year and the first round this year but they are performing nicely 'cept for one 07 cock who just wants to screw around. He'll be a dropper for the young Donek pigeons once they mature.Getting two pair of breeders sent from Ontario,Canada this week. Can hardly wait for them.I'll post some pics when I get 'em.
YITS,
Kel.

Hey Ben,
The Whites are Homers.Just started doing White Dove Releases with them this year and it sure takes some time to get them trained for distance but they are doing pretty good now. They are in good shape tho',mostly because of all the good info on husbandry I've picked up right here from alot of you guys.----------

nice pics Kel... Like the homers..They are an attractive looking bird.

I have "thought" about working up a garden for the past..umm, 10 years or so, but cant seem to find the time..LOL...OK, the real reason is I hate to weed em'.

Gardens are a lot of work for sure but quite rewarding.*I love to eat the food I grow, especially now it is fertilized by the birds I love as well!!I have alot of stuff in there;peas, beans, beets, corn, cucumber, squash, pumpkins, chili peppers, habanero peppers, banana peppers, red peppers,potatoes,tomatoes(5 kinds),zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, garlic, onions, peppermint, asparagus, raspberries, currants, apple trees, pears, plums, apricots, flowers up the yin yang, heck I even have a banana tree(can't eat the fruit tho)all on 1/2 acre.Plus I have 4 different businesses, house painting, fishing charters, landscaping and the white dove releases now and set headstones and maintain the local cemetary just came in the house for the night at ten pm.Probably won't retire till I'm tits up 6 ft under.
Trying to live on the 100 mile diet in summer anyways. If everyone could do that it would sure save on energy consumption let me tell ya.Better food too.Sorry I blabbered on so long,,,someone gives me a compliment and I tend to go off the deep end.Cheers,EH!

Andrew,if you get the painted stuff it will last for a long time,,40-50 years at least.

jimmi,the wheat from Cassidy is the best I've seen.Better than Otter Co-op or Pro-Form Feeds it's $22 a 70 lb bag.
Will do on the banana.

Rudy,

John is right. There is something rotten in Denmark or you're not in Kansas anymore or something like that.
