What colors would you describe the squabs as? Do you think the blue check cock mated with the red hen before I separated them? Tell what you think.

---------- I am posting my 1st round. I put these in the kit box over the last 2 days. There are 22 and I will add 4 more in a couple days and that will be my 1st kit of the year. This year is going real well so far... only a few infertile eggs and all parents are doing there job. These should be flying in a couple weeks and will post again as they mature. Anybody else have young to show off??? Peace!!

Thanks guys.. The lace .. if thats what that is..lol., is down from some Turner birds thru Joe Bob Stuka. When I got back into birds I got some birds from JB and one cock bird really worked, so am using him . The other birds are down from Don O. witch is my main family. I also will be adding a few Ruby's. JDA the doorstop works like a charm... no more birds sitting on the water bottle...

John, did you get pedigrees when you bought the birds from Norm?

I bought 5 pairs 2 years ago, and i am still waiting.
Guess i should call him and get them. They are not to important to me, just a tool for me that can be helpfull.

Pedigrees are always helpful when you are putting pairs together from the same family of birds. To stay tight with certain birds in that family.JDA

Polar, no I didn't, but at this point, since I'll have no other birds outside these, I'll start my on pedigrees.
Norm did say he would mail the pedigrees when a purchased the birds, that was in January.

Hi John (Sound Rollers). You say those are Norm Reed birds?

Referring to the Red Grizzle COCK + Red HEN in bold black letters at the top.

John, the recessive red hen is actually a blue check wearing a red coat.
