DJS, WELCOME! I'm not sure that holds true for any breed of pigeon but I know it does not for rollers. Any cock will jump any hen given the chance and the acceptance of the hen. Hens are a little more selective but not much. If you mate a pair and then break them up the hen will mate with a different cock in as little as one week. Sometimes depending on the hen it will take a little longer. That is the primary reason for breeding in individual cages or the parentage could be in question.

I hope this answers your question and feel free to ask even the most basic. You can find a lot of information by using the search site feature by member or subject.

Im from Lapoint, UT. i orderd my kit from RK rollers, i have only seen pictures, but im really impressed whith his knowledge and the help he has given me in constructing my kit loft, and other preperations.
i have always wanted to raise rollers, and im consider myself picky when it comes to quality. i know i have to take some chances getting started. im really impressed with what i have seen on rubys, might be looking that direction also after i get my feet under me,

comment always welcome

Lol ..Dennis..(Dude I am so sorry)... that is what I was thinking. I have been to RK's site and just can't take the guy serious.

Dee get ahold of Randy Williams or Kole Westwood in your area, you live between them. I am guessing that you may know them already..if you don't let me know and we will help you get started flying in the USRC club. It's good to see guys interested in that part of the State, best of luck in the coming years with breeding and training.

DJS, The thing about Tony is I can't find anything to complain about and that makes me suspicious!
Tony is a truth speaker even when it hurts. I don't always agree but I know the argument comes form his heart! Joni on the other hand is my sweaty, sorry you had to learn this way, Tony but it had to be said! :) So watch yourself my friend. That is assuming she likes fat, bald, madly in love with their spouse blowhards! :)
