When I lived in Alaska In 01, I was a smokejumper there, We did alot of cool stuff as far as jumping fires,, But one day they asked me if I wanted to do a project jump,,, I was kinda unclear as being a smokejumper in California we only jumped for fires, practice and rescue. So this one was a newone for me...LOL I agreed to the project and it was to reroute a section of the Iditarod,,we jumped in and stayed for about a week ate and angled like KINGS. It was probally one of my most memerable jumps!!! Just perfect and the scene was outta this world... Thanx for bringing back some great memories windward!!1
