I have played music most of my life and have a good understanding of Music Theory. When i finally learned what I was doing and understood, I went to each of my friends in order to share my new learned knowledge with them, only to hear them say "I already know that" (but they really didn't)
Well, Roller Breeders are so similar. Nobody wants to admit any kind of ignorance. That is why a roller talk forum like this, is so good. Of course the right mix of people has to be there to, but it is so nice to be able to share and also to be able to extract knowledge from others as well.
I have a Music Instruction School up in the High desert. I can sell Music Knowledge, but have never been able to give it away.

Music and Rollers...me too!...I play the Tenor Sax. I have a Yanigasawa T 902. Very nice horn! But..to be honest for the last 3 years my playing is minimal. Started playing in 5th grade...I am 33 now...quit playing after college for about 4 years..picked back up...played about 2 ...started getting good again....got rollers....sax playing took the back seat.....Can still play pretty good...but my mind moves faster then my fingers! Anyway... the music...it will just help us get the "Concert" Performance!!!LOL!! .....Now that I have the sax on the mind...I am going to play a little tomorrow! I play mainly old rock and roll...that is why I always say rock and ROLL....Music and rollers!

I've played electric guitar since I was 14 and I'm 48 now. I played in rock bands and now have a fine collection of vintage guitars. To reach a high standard of any musicial instrument, you have to put in an enormous amount of time, usually in the early years when you have the time to practise. Rollers are very demanding too, but I still find time to play my Gibson and Fender axes.

I used to be a drummer in high school and right after. Played mostly country and a little rock. Sure wish I could find a country or Christian band now!! Now I am 31 and my drum kit isn't even set up anymore. Sure was a good tension breaker at the time!!! The birds do it now for me, though.

PS....anybody need a red Pearl Export Series Drum Kit?

My favorite is Bluegrass. I play guitar, mostly bluegrass around campfires, but Eagles, James Taylor, Cat Stevens and others are among my "repitoire". My Martin guitar is by constant companion. I have adapted a song about rollers, too!

If I didn't live a zillion miles from you lot, I'd bring my guitars over there and have a serious jam. However, much as I like my acoustics - Dobro among them - I'm afraid the neighbours wouldn't be too pleased, as noisy electric rock stuff is my main thing. I was learning Jimi's licks not long after he died, but as an Englishman I was just as much into the American geezers, the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, Doobie brothers, Steely Dan - and to show I'm not just an electric philistine - the Ozark Mountain Daredevils; now, they're the ones for playing acoustic whilst your rollers fly above you.

I Started out playing blues years ago, Played night clubs through the 60's and the 70's and have taught for the last 40 years or so.My favorite music though, is Jazz. I love to talk birds and music. Iv'e worked on some genetic projects in the past and just wish that I would have had Bob's chart at that time. I was raising Old Dutch Tumblers at that time.
Bob, Please send Tony a copy of your chart. He will love it.

You guys ought to get together and call yourselves THE ROLLERS or THE BREEDERS or THE DNQ's. Play some music, record it, and become multi-millonaires.LOL

I play bass guitar and guitar. I played trombone in school. I like the classic rock bands. Especially Pink Floyd. In the process of getting a "geezer" band together. We`ll play classic rock towards a bluesy vein and old and new blues and some jazz. Really a hodge podge of what we can still get our fingers around. My guitar player`s dad is still in the Texas Playboys. He is the fiddle player,Jimmy Young. Dale Young is Stevie Ray reincarnated. It is gonna be good.
