We all seem to be afraid to talk about color; patterns; eyes and everything that is not directly about performance.
I agree that performance is the bases of our hobby. It underscores everything that we do. If the little bastards don't roll we just don't keep them..............and I agree with that.
But,................I also get a bigger kick out of it when a good looking bird is also a performer. It makes it more fun, don't it? I enjoy it more when my performers are colorful, the eyes are bright, and they are built to spec. If almonds are your favorite color and you got one that is screaming don't be afraid to tell us that they are or it is an almond. A pretty bird is the frosting on the cake.
I will keep the better looking bird if I have a few performing at the same level and need to narrow them down.
As Scott would say "It is just my opinion"
