I bred a squeeker that has a split tail feather in the middle of his tail. Is this reason to cull?

I had one like that before and I pulled it several times; it always grew back in split. As far as culling goes, I don't know if it's genetic and would be passed on so I wouldn't breed it, but if it rolled good I would keep flying it.

I wouldn't cull it if it is a good bird. How much effect does the tail have anyway? I have pulled tail feathers out so I could mark the bird in the air and it never affected the performance.

If it is a screamer, keep it(hell, you might have started a new strain....LOL)
