Hello discussion members. I hope you will understand my position I have taken to open the discussion list for public viewing only, however, only people who have actually made a purchase from this site as indicated in the following text will be able to post and respond to posts.
I stopped by the other site (finally) and some posters had good points to make while some others are full of it. LOL
In consideration of all I read, I believe this is a fair compromise for all who feel they have “a dog in this fight”. For those that paid a subscription, I will be happy to refund your money and still allow you a free membership.
I think you guys that have supported Roller-Pigeon.Com are some of the “finest” roller men around for your support and words of encouragement. I will ALWAYS be grateful. If there is something I can ever do for you, please let me know! FLY ON! Tony Chavarria
TO ALL VISITORS & SUPPORTERS
Roller-Pigeon.Com has been through some tough times lately due to decisions made over discussion posts and seeking ways to continue profitability. This site from day 1 has been a commercial venture, in trying to find the best formula for success, different ideas and approaches have been attempted in the effort to develop an informative site for customers and visitors as well as to provide a rewarding business venture.
Years ago, when Coke came out with New Coke, it was a good idea on paper, but the Coke buying public did not like the change and the company was forced to drop the idea.
In a similar fashion, I am admitting to a mea culpa, I am dropping the paid subscription as a good idea on paper but not to the liking of the average visitor (“if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”) and especially not very supportive of those that have actually supported this site with their purchases.
However, I can no longer tolerate the consequences of an open forum so rather than just let anybody in to post, I thought a good compromise would be to thank those that actually support this site by buying our products and giving them FREE ACCESS to post and respond to posts.
Site visitors will be able to read posts but not respond to them. They can gather the information they want and perform research as they desire. All that is asked is when visitors buy pigeon products over the Internet they shop here when we carry the item being purchased and as our way of saying "thanks" and offering additional support, they will be provided with the free password.
So, when fellow fanciers have a need for pigeon products and purchase from this site, they will be given the ability to post.
I know even this will not please everyone, but for those that actually enjoyed the site and supported it through buying any of the products offered, I do this for them and to continue to build a successful and profitable site offering value and “trying” to make raising rollers fun and enjoyable.
