hello i have added 6 young birds (05) to my kit of older 04 birds who were lacking in altitude and they have now gone way up. i am wondering why this is? the birds i put in are less than 3 months old and i was going to use the older birds to train the young birds but it seems to be the other way around !! the only other thing i have changed was the flying time. i have switched shifts at work so i now can fly just after sun up rather than around 10 or 11 in the morning would this account for the diffrence? thanks all chris

Hello Bullfrog, don't really have an answer to your question but I was wondering what would happen if you just flew the 04 birds at that time of day. Maybe help pin it down.

hi jeff i had thought of that today but it was way to windy here to be messing with them. i will try it in the next couple of days and let you know what happens. chris

Hey Chris, I always found that my birds fly higher in the early morning than afternoon. I think for me its because there is less wind in the morning than the afternoons.

Are the young birds from the same parents as the 05 birds?

hi tony the young are from the same breeder and the same blood line but as for the same parents no. the second set of birds were hand picked for me from the best perfromance producers he has specificlly for my compitition kit all the birds are from a very heavely culled loft. the storms and three falcons have kept my birds locked up for the last 4 days so i havent been able to experament with them yet. chris
