I know of two kinds of plastic bands. The plastic coated bands that protect the info and I've recently read of a new plastic or composite band that has the info embedded into the material and it should never wear off. I think either one is fine. I like the plastics better than the aluminum bands because they are easier for an old fart like me to read.

Ron,
If the bands you recieved are NPA, then they will hold up just fine.

Ron.I had 2 problems with them.First I couldn't see the numbers unless I was under bright light.Second they will get poop in the etched numbers and it is a big hassle cleaning them out. They will hold up as any others.David
