Hello guys, just wondering how I can mate one cock to two hens at the same time? is there any easy way to do it.

Thanks in advance.

I guess you could try it, but a cock can't sit on two nests at one time. So you'd need to have some foster parents set up. The hen won't do it all by herself. Eric

Sid.You can do it but you have to switch the cock from one hen to the other each day.Their individial breeding cages have to be next to each other and they have to be able to see each other.Sometimes the cock won't sit but mostly they will.If you don,t have another cock give it a try.David

Thanks guys. I will try that. The one problem I see is, cock may never gonna sit on eggs as he being move every day from one cage to another.

i am currently useing 3 cock birds and 7 hens in my wifes indian fans. they are split into trios and a quad and all the hens are currently on the third set of eggs in this manner. the hens have been setting the whole time and i make food and water avalible with in 4 inchs of the nest and take the cock bird out after they are set. this prevents additional nestings because i let the hens have a 3 to 4 week break between nestings to prevent degeneration of condition. the fist time this happened it was a mistake but it has been working ever since so i run with it as i am haveing a hard time finding quality cock birds. i have additional pairs and am raiseing some cocks as the hen get poor fast and i dont want to continue this method. but if you have an awesome cock bird or are short it is a good short term solution. chris
