Hi Mike,
This is a subjective questions but I will try and answer it as best I can. Healthy pigeons can live for 15 years or so on average. However, I have seen 16 year old pigeons alive, well, and breeding like yearling birds.
As far as how long they will roll, I should think they can perform if they are kept in the physical condition for that type of performance for as long as they are alive. I think Scott (correct me if I am wrong) has some birds in his kits that are 6 or 7 years old.

Bob, Thanks for the quick response. The reason I asked that question is because someone I know (name withheld), who has racing homers told me "I would be lucky if birminghams lived very long and I would be very lucky to have them roll if they were over a year old." I thought he was full of beans! Mike
