Hi Bluebar, The PRA was started and Ran by the Ouellette brothers.. It was a good thing, but the brothers were getting burnt out doing all the leg work,, A few guys were calling it a dictator ship, so the brothers turned it over to a guy named Terry in Arkansa.. It just slowly died out, after the Ouellett's quit being the driving force behind the club.. To bad, it was a good club,, I won an individual bird plaque from one of their big flys, Called the I-5 fly that Joe Testa judged.. What they did, was have a certified roller program and a roller display each year, that only those birds that were certified spinners could be shown in..Thats what I know about the PRA. Hey, the NBRC now has its own certification of outstanding individuals program,, you must have two NBRC members sign that the bird was exceptional.. I had the NBRC judge and another guy sign for two of the birds I flew in the 11 bird fly this year.. Mongrel Lofts

Thanks Mongrel Lofts.Another plus for NBRC.I said I would never join another club but NBRC is slowly winning me over.Just got some name bands from NBRC.Very nice and excellent follow up service. I am under the impression that NBRC don,t accept any type of color birds:If I had say an Opal or other Color roller would they still Certify it if I was a member? HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL. David

Yes Dave you can have color birds certified , the NBRC as a club doesn't care what color your birds are!!!! It's a great club. Scott Merry Christmas

I learn something new everyday. I have one or two P.R.A. banded birds in some of my birds background but never knew what those initals should for. Now I know. About spinner certification awards go, some local clubs have their own program setup. The club that I'm in, your bird need to be atleast 2 years old to qualify for certification. I'm pretty sure if you ask around in your local club, they will let you know about their certification program as well. Merry Christmas- Minnesota Flying Roller Group, Thor
P.S. It would be interesting to know how many RARE Color Roller has gotten certified... in any roller club, National or Local?

Hi Thor, None have ever been cerified in any region I have flown in, but I have seen a couple rare colored birds that were good enough to certify.. A couple of andy's and one opal at Randy Gibson's place.. Mongrel Lofts
