12:34 PM 		This may sound little funny but I have this problem which is now kind of getting serious because some birds can not access the water fountain. I have placed water fountain all they way up and there is bulb underneath which stop the water to get freeze.

Now as being it is placed at the top one of the birds get perched there and do not let any other birds drink the water. Birds fight and some get temporary access to drink water well all strong birds are ok because they fight and drink but there are some weak birds which are not getting access. The bird which got perched by water fountain is very strong.

I see only one solution that placed the water fountain at the bottom and leave some space to put the bulb underneath. In this way since it is not at the top the bird would not perch so every one have access to drink the water.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

1:34 PM 		Make a small wood box, about three inches high that is closed all the way around except for cutting a hole smaller than the diameter of your water base. Place a light bulb inside the box, this will warm the base enough to keep it from freezing. Try it without the hole on the top first, then you can cut it out later if the water still freezes.
