Hi
Waterfalling is said a lot but what actually is it .
On another note it would be nice to be able to search the posts in the forum , would save a lot of double up questions .
Im just starting out , I have birds that are 2 generations from imported into Australia stock birds of John Wiens that came directly from Montys loft . They are all selfs lovely conformation and highly strung ,these are a small compact athletic bird a real sport pigeon to the eye ,the breeding on my birds is true as they were aquired from an honest man who imported the original stockers from Wiens , they are inbred and have not been crossed being pure family , its up to me to see how I go with them from now on and I am really enjoying the birds , I am dedicated and very competition driven . This forum is a great resource and help to beginners and pros alike thank you to the guy behind the forum , very much apprechiated .
Thanks Rod

Rod, waterfalling is when the birds in the kits start the roll at different times. The rule is that "The last bird counted in a break must START the roll within 1/2 second of the START of the first bird counted"

Rod, check out Abel Diaz' website... http://ad3rollers.no-ip.com/ Go to "Archives" then click on "Videos" and then check out the good footage Abel got of a break..a classic waterfall break which should give you some idea of what one is and looks like. Good luck with them Wiens birds. He flies some kick ass pigeons and his results have proved it. If you can get John to give you some tips on how to manage them I think you will be very happy with them. Brian.

Thanks K Naylor and Brian , Now I get it :)
Yes Brian I will try and contact Wiens when I get an email address or contact address . I have heard and read that these Niebel birds are hard to handle , Im not exactly sure what that means just yet as I have only had them about 1mth and learning the way of the bird , but they act real sharp in the loft very active and extremly alert , I have just started in the birds but I have bred , raised a pure family ,and been at the winning end of performance pitbulls for 20 yrs , and these Wiens birds act just like the good dogs did lots of nervous energy , like they are pluged into a power socket ,
I only have 4 old dogs left and have been looking for something to fill thier large void , looks like I found it in Birmingham Rollers :)
Thanks Rod
