i just wanted to know if there are any historical breeders other than pensom, smith, plona, jaconette, ect. that are not written about but yet have a place in history in our hobby just curious about how they have helped people and others. example reed birds are early birds for those that can fly a kit of birds longer than a season due to the predators of the sky so he developed a famaly the would remain stable for at least a year. is there anyone else that knows of a line that was breed for such purpose or other that in their own way do have a place in history. steve.

Hey Steve, I think this question could have 100's of answers when you stop to think of it.. Guys like Lester Lemyer, Bob Evans, James Graham (fire Balls) all had something to do with bloodlines and contributed to the roller in the past.. How about the English fanciers, Like Ollie Harris, his birds contributed to the best of many blood lines being bred today.. I think it depends on how far back you want to go, as to bloodlines that have contributed to todays best birds. I think Bill Richards of England and his self line of ash reds and Blues are contributors to some of the best competition rollers today,, Could have a little biased there? LOL History is the judge of all roller bloodlines and will decide what birds are followed and kept up with in the future,, I think its the story is yet to be told, on many blood lines Steve,, interesting question to consider though..
