I've heard talk about the "redheaded hen" in the Pensom line .Does anyone have a picture of it?Does it look like a nun marked roller?I'm curious because I have a line of nun marked rollers from the pensom lineThey are some of the fastest -deepest birds I have.REDS AND YELLOWS. Stan Arnold

Stan, I believe she was called that because she was hatched with a patch of recessive red on her head. At least that is the story I was told. Brian.

Stan, the red head hen was black with small red feathers on her head, no BIB, My guess is the yellow you have is not pure PENSOM as i only know of two he ever kept, The yellow sounds like a FIREBALL, many were nun marked ..white..i refer to as bibs Most Fireballs were deep deep spinners, these birds had a wealth of feathers, some tail feathers are the widest ive ever seen...TAKE CARE...LEO
