I was flying my 11 young birds this afternoon and they finally tried to do a full turn but five of them chickened out. 5-6 spins/10-15 feet. I was still elated they did as well as they did. My oldest bird is only 7 mos. It was a mass of feathers and wings. Coolest thing I ever saw

Not trying to burst your bubble but a 1/2 turn is atleast 10 birds spinning at a time. It does sound like you are heading in the right direction. Keep it up.

If half of my birds turned it`s a half turn. This has nothing to do with a competetion kit and a competetion kit is 15 - 21 birds. check the world cup results page.
there are individually judged birds that are in an eleven bird kit

But in an 11-bird comp breaks or turns are not scored...lol. As long as you are having fun thats all that counts.

When I used to sneak off behind the barn and smoke,
I used to see alot of 1/2 and full turns too!

Red, all I was trying to do is help. first of all the World Cup does not have an 11 bird fly the NBRC fly does. Also in the 11 bird fly all birds are scored individually. I was trying to be nice since I take it you are new and young. Some of you new guys come on here to get advise. That wasn't a very good response from you. Look at the replies that you got. Fractions are fractions, but in flying rollers a 1/2 turn has to be 10-14 birds!!

Geez, Some people just refuse to see the point.
THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION KIT. Was I competing in a fly?So your telling me if I had 50 birds and twenty five of them turned it would `nt be a half turn because there were 25 birds. So when Joe Urbon flew 16 birds this year in the world cup 8 birds wasn`t a half turn. You`ll get em next year Joe. I did mention in my post the 11 were judged on individual merit.
Instead of a word of encouragement you have to try to tell me I wasn`t as good as you because I only have 11 birds. I was proud of my birds and shared a story with the group and all I got was a ration of crap from guys like you. Just remember my name when you see me in the cup in five years. *Kenny Hartman*

I am not ignorant of the rules or a youngster by any means. I have spent a lot of time studying and training my birds. I have only had rollers since the end of July. Started with six.
Mr Naylor I never intended to disrespcet you or anyone else in this club. This was not the response I expected to receive. Please accept my apology.

Kenny you are getting stoked and that is what it is all about !!!! Forget those peckerwoods and I'll slap around that Naylor charactor for you this weekend, ok. I have to do this often to keep him in line. And Steve's just an old fart so we just humor him by having him think that we are laughing with him and not at him LOL. trust me we are all happy for you !!

Scott, bring it on!!!! Remember you have to get thru Christopher before you can get to me. He has no problem slapping around a 6 year old girl!! LOL Kenny, no problem and no need to appologize. You seem like a very good kid and I was just wanting to make sure you are headed in the right direction. Today I had an 8/11 hows that.
I found out that 5 of my birds are straight Cheney birds and the rest are Cheney -Taylor.
I had my first roll down today when they were coming in.
one of my cheneys hit the roof HARD. I ran around the side of the house to look and she was doing a real good impression of a drunken sailor on high seas. She came around after a few minutes then finally trapped after about ten minutes.
I think it was an accident. She was trying to land and could`nt decide if she wanted to land or make another pass. So she rolled instead.

Boy I must have been sleeping the last couple days.
