How long does it take to settle older birds at a new place and what are some ways to do it? I just started and I have a limited # of birds given to me and I don't want to loose any of them when I fly them.

I recently received a group of new birds and one of them has a 2003 band. I held them in for ten days and acclimated them by using a portable sunpen I built. I had no problems other than the older bird being out of shape and a bit lazy.
Keep em flying they`ll come around. If you have a particular pair in mind to breed, keep em in and fly the rest.

good luck bro
