Hi All,

I am trying a polygamy system right now and things arent going very well. I have the cock in with 3 hens , and the trouble is that he is really fixating on one hen. And to make matters worse the hen he is fixating on just laid her first egg. What should I do?
Thanks,
Caleb

Hi Caleb,
First of all you have to use fosters when you breed multiple hens and 1 cock.
Put the cock where the hens can see him and he can see them in seperate cages.
Switch him equally in all the cages during the daylite hours.
He will copulate all the hens and they will lay.
Then place your eggs under the fosters.
Have the fosters timed to lay no more than 3 days apart from your breeders.
I use 3 pair of fosters for 1 pair of breeders and get 3 rounds out of 1 hen per month.
Hope this helps.
Steve
