4:13 PM 		I have pigeon that has a black iris.The other is gold and normal looking.It looks a bit disturbing but I have watched him and I think he can see out of it. He hasn`t flown yet, the big test is tomorrow. I`ll report back later this weekend.
I`ve nicknamed him Blind Melon. lol

8:27 PM 		I suspect what you are talking about is what is called a "bull eye". They can see out of it fine. The cool ones have two bull eyes so when they fly they have the advantage of wearing shades..lol.
