When would you say that a roller pigeon is mature? When it comes fulling into the roll, age, first molt???? Just curious as to what some might say. Knowing that each family of birds are different...

Jay Star, You stole my thunder! :) Two flying seasons will provide a good knowledge base on a bird. Prove it's potential in the air, it's stability and temperament in the kit box and loft. Then if it's stock potential, try it in the brood loft. So, I guess my answer would be two years for a kit bird and two plus a breeding season for a stock bird.

i believe like anything there is a time frame but then ive seen 30 yr olds still act like 5 yr olds but to answer the question 2 years flying
