Now that I will be starting my first roller kit soon, I was wondering how you keep the kit birds from breeding. Since there are no nest boxes in the kit box, does this keep them from breeding?

Jeff birds in the proper condition won't breed in the kitbox,in the Spring some cocks can be troublesome though and it is best to seperate them out of the kit. Personally I can't stand cocky cocks as they are such headaces. Scott

You can believe this: LOL Hi Jeff, Keep the fat off as Scott said and keep higher protein feed for the kit flyers. Also keep them in a darkened kit box, that helps to keep them from being active and keeps the breeding urge down. If you have real agressive cock birds as sosme families will produce keep, fly the hens and cocks from seperate kit boxes. Later Steve

Until they are about six months old, don't worry about it. In some families the cocks are humping at 3 months, while others show no signs. Hard flying helps. I keep my A-team separate during the warm months. They fly together and eat together, but rest separate. Cuts down a bunch on that funny business. Brian.
