Hey everybody, thought I'd say hello to everyone and tell you a little about myself. My name is Sammy Walker 49yrs.live in Robbins,Tn. which is North of Knoxville.I use to have rollers back in late 80's and early 90's.My interest has been rekindled now that I'm retired and have time to enjoy life.
I have ordered 5 pair of Ruby's from Tony and I'm anxiously waiting till I get them next Friday. My kit box won't be ready until Thursday.I have been reading alot on the forum and learning.Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to meeting you all in the future.

Thank's everyone for the nice welcome. My retirement was early.I'm 9 yrs. older than my wife an we got custody of our 2 grandchildren.Madison & Wyatt at 3 and 11 months old.Their now 3 and 4 years old.I was closer to retirement so I drew the short straw.
I'm anxiously waiting to start training and going to some Fly's.Is there any members in this area?I have been reading the forum and have learned alot.I look forward to meeting you all in person.

Well everyone get ready for a good laugh. The guy that does my carpentry work called me and said he won't be back in time to build my kit box.So I'm going to give it a try.My Ruby's arrive Friday so I've got my work cut out for me.I'll post a picture of it when I get it done.Nothing like starting off the weekend with a good laugh.

Hello Sammy. There are a coulpe of us fairly close to where your are. My name is Clint Cagle and I also am getting back into rollers. I had rollers about 15-20 years ago when I was a teenager and in my early 20's. I completed my kitbox last week. I'm in New Market about 30 miles east of Knoxville. Would be glad to visit sometime. I visited Norm Hebib in Knoxville, Clay Hoyle in NC, and Tom McDaniel in Bristol TN to get ideas before I started back. Let me know if I can help, but I've got a lot to learn too. Look forward to meeting you.

Clint that sounds great. So glad that your close to me.I felt like I was the only person on a deserted island living here.I wasn't aware that there were any roller people in this part of the state.Look forward to meeting you guy's and watching some birds fly.
