Do hens have longer eyelashes then cocks? I'm trying to find an easy way to tell them apart.
Thanks,
Jeff

Didn't know that pigeons had eye lashes Jeff. Nevertheless, if they do, I don't think you can tell the sexes apart from looking at the lenght. If your birds are older (3-4 + months), you can usually tell if they are male and females by their actions & looks (body, head, etc.). ---------- AD3 Online Loft @ http://ad3rollers.no-ip.com

Turn them upside down Jeff, the cocks will have gonads knocking against thier knees though,if you dont see this then they must be hens.

I just went out and checked those two birds that I have and I didn't notice and knee knocking nuts. I guess I have two hens. Funny thing is though, not a damn one of them has eyelashes. AHHH! This whole bird thing is sooo confusing!

Jeff let them mature and then the cocks will make themselfs known, generally they will have thicker necks also, after a while you can for the most part(not allways) be able to sex them at a very young age just due to features. Scott

Thanks for the replies. I must be honest. I was just trying to add a little humor to the site. I know pigeons don't have eyelashes or knee knocking nuts for that matter.
