Um, about 150-200 feet. It did it once, then returned to the kit to only roll 20 feet tops the rest of the fly.

Actually Scott it was your favorite color, an andalusian..lol It was in Joe Bower's kit and believe it or not, it started out fast, then shifted gears at about the 100 foot mark and got even faster. We all stood there in disbelief that a bird could propel its self so fast for so long and then just snap out like it was a lazy fly day.

I have seen a 100 ft roll from a bird I bred last year the hen would roll 80 to 100 ft but only two or three times in 20 minutes No frequency

George does that bird show absoulute control in the roll ? hows the qaulity ? does it kit? I'm asking because you say it's not very fequent,I think that a bird such as this would be intering in the stock loft as long as it has the heart.

Brian I think that a bird that "locks up" for that kind of depth got very lucky,it would be interesting to see where that bird is when it's fully developed, when I see extream depth with my birds it is out of yearlings and generally they are going to do one of two things, they are either going to get a handle on it and become the 30-40 fters in the team or they end up dead sooner or later.

Scott I gave the bird to my freind he wanted to breed it .

I like birds that roll with frequency and I would rather breed a bird that only rolls 10 ft in correct style and
velocity then from a bird like that hen.

even though she made my jaw hit the floor when she rolled

George we all want frequency in our birds, what I was getting at there was that if everything was right with the bird as far as qaulity and heart that I think that a bird such as this mated to hen with some heat may be an interesting breeding, I think that when it comes to those extra deep birds that are frequent they are just a little to far over the line, just a thought

Thanks Scott the hen kitted and rolled with good quality,
her nest mate was a 10ft to 60 ft with way more frequency.
so I stocked her anyway I bred two rounds from her this year and put her back in the kit that I was prepping for World Cup and lost her on a over fly .Then as luck would have it I lost the mother (she flew out the loft door over my head) But I have a half sister thats a red chex muff legged thats rolling any where from 5ft to 40 ft with unbelievable quality and velocity in my #1 kit I hope to fly in Fall fly
