Not me, I'm just fine in that dept., it's the pigeons I'm talking about.

If a guy plans on doing this and if the guy lives in South Dakota what kind of steps does that guy need to take if any?

I've heard you need to keep that area heated.

Thanks,

Jeff

I am in Michigan, don't know how that would compare with your area for winter temps. I have bred through the winter before with no heat in the loft and found that experienced breeders do the best, they seem to sit tighter and longer on the young. I have lost some to freezing (10-25%)every time I bred in winter. Just be sure there is unfrozen water at least twice a day for the pairs to feed the young. I have lost more young to raptors while winter breeding than to freezing. It's real hard to train and fly young birds with the hawks in full force.

I see now there is a "highrollers" poster on the board too....time to change my name I guess.
Dan
