GOD IS GOOD- went out this morning and there she was setting on sun cage- got net- she is now back with mate in loft. I knew when I put the colors on here some of U would say he never had Yellows or Almond that's OK Mehdi has all his records. I guess its not Almond- its Silver with Red Grizzle Black Tick and some Bronze in flights. He had Creams, could they not be crossed w/Red and Black to get Yellows. Call them what U want. I have no reason to doubt Medhi or his Records. GOD BLESS!!!

Johnnie,
He did have yellows. Raised them to sell because there was a high demand for them. You are right if you have Ash red or recessive red and dilute, eventually you will get yellows and creams

I have studied the history of Plona and he had yellows. Finding them in the history of his best birds is another story.
Yellows and almonds are easy sell birds and pleasing to the eye.. end of story.
Roller are simply to be enjoyed.... that is nice of the guy to sell you birds right out of the air gentle Johnnie.

Brad, Would not argue that you won't find many yellows or creams out of WHP's best stuff but then most of his best stuff came from JL Smith and Smith had some yellows and cream bars in his kits. So maybe just need to go a little bit further back.
Pat, I suspect LaRon would tell you the same. The yellows were there to raise a little money to support the rest.

You won't find delute in any of his old stock.. nor will you get yellows out of rec red unless it carries delute..and just because sombody has something on the property or in the kit doesn't make it part of the family either.. it doesn't make them bad birds either though..just enjoy the birds Johnny.

From a common sense aspect,I can't see where yellows and almonds were a cash cow for these guys.

On another note I have had some outstanding yellows about 7 years ago that got lost in a major overfly, decending from a Bradford yellow.A guy was supposed to breed me a 10 bird kit of them, but that has not come to pass. After getting what he wanted from me....Aloha,Todd

Scott,
There was plenty of dilute in that old family that came from J Leroy Smith. You can deny it but it was there, saw it with my own eyes. Some branches of his bloodlines may not have carried dilute but others did.

Hey guys, I am Jake Wright from Lubbock, Tx also. Medhi is a good friend of mine, and to everyone in our club. I wont get into the color debate, because I dont know enough to contribute anything, but I will say that Medhi is honestly one of the nicest guys I've ever met. He fed our entire club and let us use his place for our functions. He rarely sells birds, and has given away twice as many as he has sold. He definetly is no con artisit or feather merchant lol. I can promise you that, and you would think the same if you knew the guy. Just had to throw that in.

Mehdi is the kind of guy we all want in our club(s). I have to echo the sentiments of Rudy and Jake. He has been working with these birds forever.
You know what they say about rollers. If you breed them long enough you will find all the colors of pigeons.

Hi Guys WTRC members Jake Rudy Kenny- I knew that I should have keep my mouth shout about the colors but that's what happens when your proud of something new in the Loft. Medhi told me to give him what I thought they were worth- he would not set a price. I got 10 proven birds for the same price or less than what I couldn buy 5 at the TPRC sale early this month. on top of that he is giving me some more squeakers next time down. We all know what a NICE guy Medhi is! He is not a feather Merchant. He is an all round GREAT ROLLER MAN- GOD BLESS!!!
