Hey George, I assume you are talking about vaccinating for PMV? Per Maine Bio Labs, they recommend vaccinating at about 6-8 weeks or so, then a booster shot several months later. I only vaccinate my show birds and the roller stock, but not the kit birds. Because of the large numbers of birds I raise and have on the property, I only do it once a year, usually about late august or early September when the birds are molting their heads and necks. The reason for this is because it is much easier to vaccinate them when they have loose feathers on the neck. Spray a little alcohol on their neck first and the area really opens up nice. If you vaccinate your kit birds, don't fly them for a little while, the vaccination will kick there little butts for a few days. Good luck. Brian.
