Hey Tony did not know all of that information.Well god does work in mysterious ways ? he has connected many of us through the hobby and ultimately through you and your web page ....as a stated in the past many of us have found our comfort ,and solace during our difficult times through the web

you might say tony ....Think of what you and joni have done "you could not couldnt bring all of us to mossouri so you brought it to us via the web ....i listen to the grass grow every time i am on this site ...in my coop. this is how i manage my stress from the job .

so as paul says did you name them after your mom?

did the strain of birds come from california ? What family are they ? I noticed in the news article a light pair in the background are they off sides

Am considering importing some in the future, if they are as good as everyone is saying .Ok this is where the bussines side kicks in after all it is a business for me i have to keep everything relative as far as pigeons go tis would be a huge investment and hopefully at a minimal cost 50 bucks a bird is nit a big deal its the shipping vet cost etc and how do i know if what you have is not what i already have in my coop? i dont ...I no vids do not make the birds look that great but it sure would help, dtony if i were in the states no problem i would hve your birds in my coop .I trust what paul and old fart say they are honest people who love the hobby the birds and most importantly i think rock and rolll paul is very involved in the hobby ,has seen alot of birds and his testimonial speaks for itself

give me some time tony once i retire in a few more years -freedom 55 will give me more time to do the runnung around and prep work.
allthe best

Ok just thought of how i will know the quality with out the vids but i have my compareittor so paul and tony

think of macormick professional vid the one called memorial day there is one bird that is a blurrr at the beginning of the vid and i think at about 6:21 of the vid ...you know which one I m taking about

How do the rubies compare to that bird and that type of spin?

John, I have never made any secret I'm a fan of Ruby's. Like any family it is in the hands of the breeder. Tony never said every bird was a stock bird, nor did he claim "every" bird was perfect. To date he is experimenting from within his Ruby strain by selection and with out-cross's from some of the best lofts in the country, combining his Ruby's with other strains always searching for improvement. From the start Tony provided, I made progress. I now have more consistent birds and quality is improving ever year. Are they were I want them? No, but I think Tony would be proud that this branch of his family are steadily showing quality is in their gene pool.

Hey Canspinners, I hope you enjoyed the article. I think it was well done and gives a good description of what this effort is all about for our family. I am pleased that the site has filled a need for some who have like you say, who have used the Internet to find comfort and solace within their lives. That has to be a good thing. The Internet does make the world a “smaller” place with its speed and ability to bring people together from all corners of the globe.

As for the “strain” of birds, they are Ruby Rollers. They are the product of my efforts to breed toward the aerial standard as it is explained in Pensom’s book. I have selected for the traits I like and worked to eliminate the traits I don’t. The old background of my strain is Pensom and several of the old masters. If you take a look at the pedigree page, you will see the breakdown.

As for importing some, I would not say “no” to a sale, but if you already have good stock and would expect these to be a magnitude or two better than what you have, you would be creating a false expectation for yourself. I have never claimed and never will that these are the best birds out there, only that I have my own views on breeding my stock to the aerial standard, as I understand it.

As for videos of birds spinning, I have never seen the one you mention by McCormick. I know what spinning looks like and don’t need a video to see it. Now if you said the video is a high-speed recording showing the birds in slow motion, I would like to see that.

As for speed and style, I like the Ruby that can crank it straight and smooth with the highest velocity and show me the H style or better and can drop 20 to 30 feet consistently, snap in and out of the roll.

I really appreciate those such as Thom and Paul among several others who have spoken up in a positive way about what they have seen in the bloodline. I am glad to see both of them are putting their own stamp on their stock and getting the same level of enjoyment and satisfaction from the birds that I do. All the best.

Hi Canspinners,
I will be receiving my Ruby's tomorrow. I am very excited about them! This will be my first experience with them. All I can say is I have heard many good things about them and most importantly the integrity of the man behind them! Thats why i have decided to try them. There are a few who try to degrade Tonys birds but I believe its because of personal issues jealousy and trying to peddle their own medicine! The only way to see for your self is to try them thats what I am doing! For those who have not had any experience with them Tonys quote (The highest form of ignorance is to reject something you know nothing about.” – Dr. Wayne W. Dyer) speaks the truth. I will keep in touch and let you know of my experiences with them. I am not sure if I will fly them as I dont want to loose them, but I will breed them and fly their young and pick from the best. As I said in a prior post its up to the individual to progress or regress. Tony is providing me with the genetics the rest is up to me!

Ps Thanks again Tony for your help I will email you privately tomorrow after receiving the birds.

Regards,
Raul.

Mr. JDA,
Thanks for your best wishes. I am thankful for being on this site as I get to talk with many knowledgeable persons such as your self who I am certain will not hesitate to help someone like me who is still wet behind the ears in raising and flying Birmingham rollers. Seeing that you are a Gold member I take it that you are a senior citizen? I trust and wish you are enjoying your youthful golden years!
Take care my friend,

Hey Joey, I don't think I need to do anything other than let others who fly the birds tell you what THEY have have been able to do with them. As for videos, if you have been paying attention, you know videos really don't do a performing bird justice. But thanks for the idea anyway.

PS, let me know when you are in town and I'll have you over to see the birds fly. As a matter of fact, feel free to do all the video taping of the birds you wish. Let me know when you can come over. Thanks.

Hey Joe, as for Pauls' record, he is a good manager and is competitive by nature. He has done well for himself through his own efforts. I always appreciate the nod from him and his acknowledgment of the Ruby bloodline in his birds. Paul is a class act and is selfless individual. The hobby would do good to have more like him.

Yeah, I could see you were clarifying the situation for roller heaven, thanks for that! I just want to be sure to give Paul his props for all his hard work and dedication he has put in to his birds. Experienced roller fanciers know that without the right effort, a family of birds can be ruined in short order. Paul is making good decisions and it is showing.

I HAVE HAD ROLLERS FOR 30 YEARS AND KNOW THAT ALL PIGEON GUYS ARE LIARS AND CHEATERS AND WILL SAY ANYTHING TO MAKE THEM SELVES LOOK GOOD. I CAN TELL IF A ROLLER IS GOOD SPINNER EVEN FROM A VIDEO OR BY HOLDING IT.THIS IS A FUN SPORT BUT THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT MAKE A LIVING FROM IT AND THAT IS GOOD BUT DONT LIE TO ME.

Okay, here we go again. You accuse me of something that you have absolutely no proof of. As a matter of fact, people in this thread and other places on this site have told anyone who wants to "hear" it that this family produces spinners.

At best all you can say is "I have not had the opportunity to see it (spin) as I have never seen a properly managed kit of Rubys or any kit of Rubys for that matter".

Now being as that you outright challenge me on my site with absolutely no first hand experience with these birds, and calling me a liar, you have no place among the good people of this site. You can take your ill-informed views and personal biases and attacks elsewhere. Goodbye.

To Site Members: I could see the writing on the wall with roller heaven's comments. It is pretty transparent to me when guys like this start with their BS. I have operated this website now for 7 years (that is a lifetime in Internet years) and I can spot the approaching storm a mile away. He has been banned as we are just not going to lower ourselves to respond to such BS anymore.

Hey guys, thanks for understanding. I would think that this kind of BS is in the past because so many have reported good experiences with them. However, naysayers and critics look for any reason to pull someone down to their level. I will say this now and have even said it before on the site, not every bird will be a keeper, but if someone does as guys like Thom, Paul, Dave M, and so many others, have, they will end up with something to be proud of and enjoy.

Keep in mind that I like for birds to ball up real tight, roll lightning fast and spin down from the kit like yo-yo's on a string.

Tony, This is not the first attempt to discredit the accomplishments you and Joni have made. You left a very secure lifestyle and risked starting anew to pursue a dream. Yet, you never brag but continue to seek improvement always thinking. Just to survive in these troubled times is special but to do it with dignity, hard work and an unshakable honesty speaks for you and the birds.

I have a list, it's short unfortunately , it contains the names of good people. I'm proud to say you and your lovely bride are a pleasure to have on it. "Oh, you don't win anything"! :)

Don't let them drag you down my friend, for everyone like roller heaven there are a hundred on your side. We appreciate, understand and support R.P.D.C.

Take care my friend

Amen to that Tony... I just happen to get back on and read someone calling me a liar or you.because all mean all right?.I see we had a regular Pensom here who can tell a good bird just by holding it.
See I can tell if a man is choking just by me grasping a hold on his neck .now that's no lie..good choice Tony let the birds do the talking and be kool..

Hi Guys , please do not misinterpret where roller heaven and I are coming from

Both Roller Heaven And I are friends and have been in search of the perfect family of birds He is a great guy that loves the birds and is good for the hobby .

It is nothing personal its business we love tony and the value add he has done for the hobby .Tony is very honest he tells it like it is and says not all the rubies will be great spinners ..I know with my family of bob brown birds /jay lucarelli imports 50% great spinners like in this vid 30 % average 10% loose 10% straight fliers

I will speak for roller heaven and I so you understand where we are coming from as far as vids go

I have purchased about 80% of the vids off tonys site when he had them for sale Roller heaven bought 100% I have had vids sent to me by dominic carton ireland .So far i have not seen any birds do anything diff than what my birds currently do except one bird and this is off a vid i can imagine in real time. That bird is in the vid link above B Macormicks vid you see the bird at the very beginning and at the 6:16 of the vid . DO THE RUBYS SPIN LIKE THAT?

That is all we want to know before we invest and consider importing some of tonys stock. Roller heaven has birds that resemble and spin like the bird in the vid but new blood is always good to have

All credit to tony ...nothing wrong with making a bussines of selling pigeons ....but it is a business and customers want to understand what they are buying ....seeing is belieaving for some of us. expecially for those of us who live in other countries .

So please no disrespect is intended against any individuals ..just want some info,,,,how does the ruby spin compare to the one exceptional bird in the vid by Brian?

John, I know you are a man of honesty and I understand passion. Your word is good enough. Sometimes the message does not convey emotion or expression and is misunderstood. If you say roller heaven is a good man, then he is a good man. I was one of the first to applaud removing who I thought was another troll or instigator, now I would ask Tony to give roller heaven another chance. The decesion will be Tony's of course but he is a fair man and I trust in his judgement.

Take care my friend
