Moult? What age are the birds? Have you checked for feather mites?

I'm with Thom, feather mites, try some Ivamec Sheep Drench in the bath water, 3cc to the gallon if I remember right, it will take care of those little boogers.

If that you put some 20 Mule Team Borax in the bath water every week that will help to keep the mites of also. About a teaspoon to a gallon of water.

Hey Jerry, The borax will not hurt your birds. It is a little hard to get it to dissolve, so I first use warm or hot water until it is mixed and then add cold water. It will help rid your birds of parasites and brighten their white feathers.

One of my hens did the same thing last year. She was just moulting (first time i've seen it that bad). You can also use epsom salts in your bath water. It will get rid of the bugs, brighten the feathers and it's therapuetic for the birds muscles.
