Forgive a newbie for asking a very basic question. What is the difference between young birds and squeakers? I assume that squeakers are just recently weaned and young birds may be a bit older, but not yet sexed. In some of the auctions I see birds advertised each way. Is there a big disadvantage to getting squeakers?

Greyflier nothing wrong with basic questions, thats how we all learn, youngbirds are generally birds on the wing and they may or may not be in the roll,in other words they are yearlings, squekers are generally babies on up to just begining to fly.
