It is a single dose spread blue bar. In other words it is a black self with only one dose of spread and it is masking blue bar. If it had two doses of spread (homozygous for spread) you wouldn't see the bar showing through. This will also be a hen.

Hey Brian, I can see the bar, but I can also see "check". Why masking the blue bar and not check? Is there an order of hierarchy? Thanks

Brian, Why does one wing have so much of a lighter background than the other. Is that some sort of mosaic pattern, where one wing is so different, It's the 1st time I ever saw that. When you look at it from above it is very noticeable... Thanks

Brian, yes, you are right, it is that lacing effect that makes me see check. Also, the pattern on the other side of that bird highly resembles what I see on the wing shields of a blue grizzle hen I have. Thanks!

Michael, Take a picture after the first molt and share it with us. This could be interesting.

Nick, I will do that. I hope she will survive the serious BOP problem that I have. The only time I fly BOP free is April and May. It will be nice to see how she molts out.
