Got up this morning to a cloudy, windless, and 45 degrees. It had just stop raining from a spring shower, everything smelt clean and fresh.....Soooo , I went out to feed and water the breeders and what do I find egg shells all over the floor, the babies were a hatching. I should have over 20 young by Tuesday. This year the timing of the breeders and feeders has been perfect and so far 100% fertility, but we will wait to see if that holds up. I've never had 100% of anything...lol. Then I went out to let out my #1 kit, witch is also my cull kit, witch is also my only kit....lol. They haven't been hit the last 3 times out and it showed. They flew slow and kitted perfectly. They were breaking together.. not rolling , but breaking. Like I said this is my cull kit, maybe. I do have about 3 that are pretty good and today they showed it. A few that are normally 15 to 20' were doing over 30' and right back to the kit, in fact after they broke the birds that were short rolling and garbage rolling seemed to wait for the 3 that were doing it right. Very fun to watch. Tony the best one is a Ruby and he really showed well today. This kit might just develop into something if i can get left alone, the speed that they flew at was perfect instead of that hawk mode. Well I hope you all have as good a morning as I did and success in the breeding loft.... Peace!! MJ
