I shouild have posted this earlier... But...
Bobby Wilson, the creator of QSDC Magazine is going to be on CBS News tonight... This will probably be the biggest exposure our breed of pigeons has ever had.!!
It will be on at 6:30 Pacific, and whatever time that show is on nationwide....
Let others know... Sorry about not thinking about making this post earlier...
Paul G

Oh..I just remembered... It might be repeated on Sunday..
And also I think he is going to be in People Magazine.

Very true Tony. He has started the magazine, new flies in the Southern Cal area, has had awards banquets and a yearly QSDC show, also put out a interesting video and started out a roller site which now has spawned several copycats. He is one of the biggest promoters of the breed. You are too, I might add Tony..!!

Hey John, I watched it live (I got the 5PM Central Show) and recorded it. Listen to the interviewer say it could be anything that would get a kid off the streets. Roller Pigeons are better than snakes!

Tony, many of people have benefited from these birds, they are the greatest. I did twenty years in the Coast Guard and couldn't wait until the day I retired and could settle down and do what I had done as a kid, didn't know was I was doing then, but I'm better for it.

that was pretty cool. Nice work out there! I would love to do that too, especially adding the portable element to it too.

On the downside, I was reading the very first comment to this video on CBN website was the fact that these kids might be turning from human violence for violence against nature. Which they added to the whole operation high roller bit. What a kill joy.

Hey Pinwheel, just think of this: CBS nightly news ratings indicate that as many a 6 MILLION viewers may have watched this segment on Bobby and now have a VERY POSITIVE impression of the Roller Pigeon and hobby where there was none before! 6 Million! WOW!

Very good PR. That was one of the most positive things I have seen from the media in a long time. What he says is very true. I am certain having rollers kept me out of trouble as a kid. I had to work to buy feed because my mother said I could have them but I had to buy their feed. Joe

a totally positive video. kudos to Bobby Wilson for making it happen.
as a kid i was lucky because my dad let me keep pigeons on the roof of his drug store. those early years are forever ingrained in my mind.

This was a joy to watch and the message Bobby Wilson is sending is true. It is very hard to grow up in the hood without being tempted to "fit in" with the crowd. Hopefully, this hobby will draw more kids into it and maybe prevent many from choosing to go down the wrong fork in the road. Bobby Wilson and CBS did the sport much justice and showed a lot of love by putting this "Roller Special" out for the world to see.

Thanks much,

Finlly some good video of rollers shown to the public on mass media show...!! And Bobby got recognition for some of what he has done.
But the commentator, Steve Hartman didn't get it if he thought that other kinds of pets could take the place of rollers..!!

That was great. It cracks me up that the reporter kind of demeans the birds by saying it could be snakes and it wouldn't matter. I have always found that snakes don't fly very well when they are thrown up in the air. LOL.........
