I have found it varies from loft to loft regardless of the strain.

Nick you are right. Same family different loft different results. two thing I have found to make good kitters. One, cull cull even though it is a quality roller, out flyers are culled.
The second thing get them in the air early such as 35 days old. With the early developer we have today we don't want the young learning to roll and fly at the same time. Give them as much air time before they start to roll. It really works. Or it has for me for many years. Richard
