Hello Guys, how many of you have wire floor ventilation in kit box or loft (Air flow from bottom to top - because of space between wire floor and poop tray).

My kit boxes have about 3-4 inch space between wire floor and poop tray. Air circulates freely however but now I learned that it is not good idea to have bottom floor wire ventilation. There should be wire floor with poop tray just underneath for cleaning but there should be no space left between poop tray and wire mesh for air to enter from buttom and circulate.

I think because as being poop there the air circulation form bottom wire floor bring more dampness and not good for pigeon health. I would rather have ventilation (air flow) on upper part or side wall of kit boxes and close the bottom ventilation.

Please advise what you guys think on this topic

Correction and Addition to above message:-

Hello Guys, how many of you have bottom wire floor ventilation in kit box or loft (Air circulate from bottom to top - because of space between wire floor and poop tray and naturally warm air go upward and cold/dense air get in to kit box/loft from bottom).

I had recently put together a loft and there is no bottom wire ventilation. There is wire floor and just under wire floor I have poop to tray to catch the droppings. I have side walls ventilation and noticed inside air is as fresh as outside but on the other hand in my kit box which have bottom wire ventilation does not give same results and there is dropping bad smell

Please advise what you guys think on this topic
