OHR = Operation High Roller. Federal agents entrapped some roller breeders who in attempting the protection of their birds were trapping, harassing; and killing birds of prey because they became over populated and more menacing. The birds of prey that was most troublesome was and still is the Coopers Hawk. Federal agents performed a sting operation by lying and deceiving people in portraying something or someone they were not. Some people where arrested and fined.

Thanks John, didn't hear anything about here in Michigan, news travels slow.
Anyone know how the people were caught? were they bragging about the killings or did they get turned in?

Anyone who was on a roller site anywhere in the world at the time would know about this. Federal agents look in on sites such as this one, and apparrently some guys were talking about killing BOP on an internet site.
There is nothing secret on the internet.
How open these sites are was bought home to me 2 weeks ago.
A subject came up in the form of a question on the All England Roller Club site.
I googled a similar question to find out some further information, and the actual question from the AERC site was listed in the google results and this was just a few hours after it had been posted.
Pete.
