good luck Jerry

MY circumstances put me in a place where I know in the future I will have to move. With this in the back of my mind I think of how I want to build a movable loft. I have really considered a storage truck conatianer. Set up one side for Breeders, and the other with side with kitboxes.

Jerry how much room do you have at your new place?? I would highly recommend making a dual kitbox. Each side of my box is 3x3x3 and I could hold up to 32 birds if I want, but will keep it around 25. 32 would be pushing it and a little too crowded.

As far as my breeding pen goes it is 4x8x8 and split down the middle. If I could do it again I would go bigger and have just bought a shed off ebay and converted that into a loft. It would have been soo much easier in the long run.

If you have any questions or need help feel free to ask. Good Luck on the move!!

Right now breeder loft is just simply divided down the middle and my hens and cocks are seperated. I dont have pictures of the dividers but can take some within the next few days. The right half of the loft is going to be dedicated to my fosters with an open breeding box. The left side I am going to put a few individual breeding pens and keep my doneks in there.

It is kind of hard getting a full inside shot views of the loft but this is what I got.

This is the outside view. The doors are only about 3.5ft tall or so and about 2ft wide. So the next shots might make it look huge inside but it really isnt.

This is a view of the right side if you were to open the door and take a peek inside.

This is a side view of the inside to the right. This side is my open loft and only for fosters. Ignore the frame of the loft...I had to rig it in a certain way for my extension to fit.

Here is a view of the traps and windows from the inside. And down the middle is where its been divided.

Here is shot of the bottom half of the breeding boxes.

Here is a shot of the left side of the loft. I will get the more updated pics for you when I get a chance.

Yea my measurements were kind of off so the loft turned out to be a little higher than I wanted. But its not too bad when I stand on my tippy toes I am only about 4 inches away from touching the roof.
