Milo Protein 11.3% Carbohydrate 71.3% Water 10.6% Fibre 2.2% Fat 2.9% Values can vary slightly depending on were its grown. It is basicly a filler feed. Mixed 50/50 with wheat it is used as a staple feed for kit birds.

Milo is a very weak feed and as Joe said it's mainly a fill seed,it's also an airy seed, the roll generally goes to crap on it and those that use it will use it for conditioning the team only,it's main value is a Carb,I'll use it to get ht. on the team when needed

Milo is also considered a "soft" seed in that it is quickly digested and absorbed, much faster than a hard seed like wheat or peas. Though it contains many of the ingredients that a bird requires, the simple fact that it is so rapidly digested is like cutting the feed back on stronger birds, if you feed a specific amount of it. If my old birds are taking fly time liberties or flying too high, I can use straight milo for two days to bring them down on their time and height. Brian.
