Hey Paul your please read message just got updated again. So i decided to send a response this time as i did not get the time to do so last time .

Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone one having to face such adversity . I got knocked on my ass after 48 years of being on top of my game , with Education, Family and Career etc. Running scared most of time working hard to keep my competitive advantage on all avenues primarily because as a kid my family grew up starving and with out much. I lost a twin sister i think primarily to starvation although no one will say it. I have two older sisters and you being the only boy in the family I guess they would give me a bit more.We had a couple of chickens and my sister use to tell me they use to stick their finger up its butt to see if an egg was coming so they could give it to me to suck down raw just like Rocky. We laugh about it now after all these years.

As you say paul when you hit the bottom because of an injury or mental and physical EXHUSTION it wears you down trying to be everything to everyone your body and mind react to slow you down to protect you.

I also went on rx meds stopped work for a year (pulled a Brian Wilson from the Beach boys senario and went into seclusion for a year Only talked to Doctors and a few Pigeon buds and of course went on the site again after the inital six months.

You put it right I had to find my old self again the person i was before I did that now back at work and much happier i dumped alot of baggage and monkies off my back.

As with you i found it was my birds that helped me pull through it ...my hobby which includes my dad his birds and many pigeon friends. To me it a hobby i am not into competition except with myself to perfect my stock and the breed its a real challenge to try and prove and get the birds to a level that i can say idid it . I can relax and enjoy them as i have the stock i need .I am almost there except now the thirty pair need to be reduced to 12 .will take two more years . Its been a total of 8 so far . I have gone through thousands of birds and still stick with the bob browns because so far they are the best i have proven.

Just want to say thanks for sharing and thanks to alot to many people on this site who i was able to make contact with Tony thanks for the deal on all the dvds i purchased from you they were all great if it was not for your site never would have even seen all the greats and their birds.

Paul my biggest challenge is to get off the meds its gradual and i hope to be off them completly within the next year

Guys think of mike tyson and all he accomplished and went through with the crap from the hoes..etc .when you see his vedio and see him on the roof top peaceful with his birds..to me it best discribes what i am trying to say here its a hobby and to me its also very spiritual god sends us messages in alot of different ways inorder to protect us . god bless all off you

You know its funny but in addition to my son I was also blessed with twins a boy and a girl (they are 19 years old now ) I got their baby picture next to mine with my twin as a reminder that god is with me .

Great post Canspinners, keep up the good work. I too have been working on getting the monkey off my back, not a drop of booze in 7 months.Fullertons the kind of guy ya can just feel the positive energy leaping off the page, although ya need a lot of stamina to read some of his posts.LOL. I feel blessed being part of the pigeon world. Tonys site does so much more than just promote the hobby.Wishing you all the best, and keep up the good work. Glen.
