It is not too early to begin your planning for the World Cup. If you have not flown in competition it would be a good time to start. It will bring some good people into your back yard and enlarge your network of friends. It is just a good time to be had. Also, check out their site. Some good improvements have been made and it is worth the visit if you're competing or not.

of Coarse that all depends what region you will have to Fly in .

In some Regions it is possible that you will not get a fair shake in the fly due to politics.

There may be those who use the position as regional director to attempt to influence the out come of the Fly.

I hope that those that practice this kind of nonsence dont Forget that whats good for the Goose is also good for the gander !!!!

Sometimes I don't know what to make of your posts George. Keep it up and soon no one will take you seriously. People still judge a book by its cover. Once the perception becomes tainted, you will never get it back.

George,

Nothing like stirring the pot yet again!! Why do you have to pull the negative aspect out of every post. We as fliers need to PROMOTE the hobby not stir it up with a big ole shit stirring stick.

I dont know why people say that the RD can influence a fly....last time I check the R.D. is not a kit of 20 birds cutting it up. The only way and R.D. can influence a fly is to tell the judge to write down make believe scores..and that is damn near impossible to do with all eyes watching.

Let me see..maybe you will use the Scheduling excuse. Bad fly times...unless it is hot as hell or very bad weather there is no bad fly time. As long as the schedule is out in a timely manner then you just put your birds on that schedule...if the fly time is set in stone weeks before the fly..then bad weather is not a conspiracy theory...R.D's cant control the weather.

As far as fly times...I know that some feel the fly time is what it is all about and I will tell you it is not. If the birds are ready to rock and ROLL it does not matter what time....perfect example....Both my B-teams had beat my A-teams numerous times...and the A-team had the PERFECT fly time. I have seen some of the best kits put up in the afternoon even when the fliers usually fly there birds in the morning.

Anyway..the R.D. is there to set the schedule for the betterment of the WHOLE region not for individual fliers. Most regions it is usually done by geographic locations....meaning the quickest way to get the most fliers done in the least amount of time.

TO ALL>...Flying competition is not what George says it is...the voice of the few does NOT represent the many

rock and ROLL

George this forum or any other open forum is not a place to do your laundry. You need to settle your issues within your region. The way you have gone about this is disrespectful to the entire WC as a whole. JMHO however. Joe

What is your problem? I for one am getting tired of reading some drummed up crap everytime you post. It doesnt matter which media you use your always trying to undermine the sport or we who participate in the sport. When you cast aspersions like the one here you better have your facts straight. When you point your finger like that you might get it handed back to you. As RD of my region I feel like you could be talking about me and if thats the case we have a big problem. Its not the system it is YOU!

Maybe one day you`ll decide which side of the fence you want to land on. Til Then I have no use for you.

Quotes from George from the last 3-4 weeks

"I have always said this and I will say it again " IF YOU GUYS CARE SO MUCH ABOUT OUR HOBBY LOOK FOR WAYS TO INCREASE FELLOWSHIP AND PARTICIPATION".

That is what the Core values of the NBRC and the World Cup should be in my opinion."

"i once asked a Master Flyer 'why cant we fly useing the same rules that you achieved your Master Flyer status with " I am still waiting for him to answer LOL"

Who George?

"I also will only fly in the World Cup if this shakes out the way Nick and Kenny H. etc. want."

"Scott what are the Multiplyers for ? I always thought that if a Competitors team of Birds quality is not that good then a Judge should just give him a lower quality score just like depth if a guys kit is rolling 40ft and another guys kit is rolling 20 feet well then the Guy with the 40ft kit should get a better depth multiplyer . why would quality be any different ? Maybe the rules should be changed and thier should only be a set standard for quality and leave the depth multiplyer in place ."

"All this Balony about setting standards for this and that .
You guys are making sound as if all the people who accept the position to judge a major Fly are incompetent.

there is nothing wrong with the rules .. why are you Guys trying to MICROMANAGE everything ?"

The RD is a human being with feelings, character and personality. If the RD is not compatible with the flyers in your region, then replace him. It is a democratic process and a vote decides the RD every two years. It is a local problem and deal with it accordingly and quietly. Check with all the regions in the US and see if the flyers don’t like their RDs. Then take the average and see where the number stands before making a claim of foul plays by the RDs.

Man,
I get lost for a few months, and looks like the sport has gone to hell....LOL

As all of you know, a fire will die out without fuel..After reading this post, I went back and read some of Georges post over the last few weeks.. He, like most of us, have our opinions about pigeons, the sport, and life in general..George has a way with words, and it is in his words, that he fuels the fire..Again, it will die if you dont feed it...

Those that stir the pot are often not taken seriously.. Ok, I will shut up and go back to the closet til spring.
