There is some talk about having a fly competition for Master Flier recipients on another list. Do you have an opinion about this? Do you think it ought to be sponsored by the national club?

What if all Master Flier recipients where given a bye from the regional fly competition and where placed in the finals? Do you think that is a worthy thing to do?

I really don't care about them flying in a seperate fly. But I would argue that we would never have enough money to support a fly without their money. I would then want to develop my own region an become a Master Flier to be exempt from the tariff!!!
This must be on Earls List an I know who probably is starting this BS.

Nick..when you first heard of this was the first heard of it..Mee was very clear in pointing out that it had nothing to do with the Nationial Fly and it would be flown at a seperate time.

Let us take the local club points away from those Master Flyers and lets see who is left to be a Master Flyer!!! They changed the rules after they got there so only them be in the elite club for a long period of time.

As I become more involved in the NBRC and the flys, I start to see and smell the crap all around. How sad.

Jay,
BMC broke it down and there are only 2 master flyers that would be effected if you removed club flys. Most of us got in using the nationals and WC flys. Only Kevin Mcray and another guy, can't remember who would lose MF status ifd you remove all club fly points. I think a fox smells his own crap first! LOL. KGB

They took out the club flys long before any of you were even around (with good reason)...it is clear who is only there on club flys.

This suggestion evolved during a discussion in which many Master Flyers and veteran flyers were recommending tightening up rules for scoring. This "rasing the bar" would have little impact on the veteran flyers, but would have more effect on the entrance level flyers who are struggling to get a kit in the air and compete. I suggested a fly for Master Flyers with the bar set at the standards we, so often, hear them pushing......H style only, speed fast enough that revolutions are invisible, 20-ft. minimum, simultaneous and instantaneous breaks only, no outbirds. This would have a similar impact on the standards under which they compete. The Master flyers could be scored by the finals judge when he arrives in each region, to keep costs down. The most points win. It was actually done, tongue in cheek, on my part, to make a point; but then we discovered that others had been having similar discussions about a similar competition completely separate from the NBRC or World Cup. It's pretty much all talk at this point.

Cliff,
The only one pushing your made up standard is you! Just because we don't want axle winged culls scored. Does not translate to this H style blurred only standard. The only one you can hood wink with this garbage are the people who don't fly or pay attention anyway. Oh, and maybe Nick! LOL. KGB

Why lie, Kenny? Are you hoping to pull the wool over the guys' eyes here, that don't follow Earls List? Now you are up to your old tricks, again! LOL! You know that Joe Bob Stuka and Rick Mee are among some of the other veteran flyers who have been fighting hard on Earls List and believe that the minmimunm standard for scoreable performance should be set at the axel wing roller! I think they can be considered as someone who "flys and pays attention" as you put it.
