I've been trying to find a Roller Breeder who has Neibel Rollers. Anyone who's familiar with the Canadian Monty Neibel, who won several World Cups, was the best Roller Breeder of the modern era. Luckily, after looking at the ads section in the NBRC Bulletin, I found someone who has Neibel Breeders for sale at reasonable cost. Has anyone on this board seen Monty Neibel kit birds in action? If so, can you describe what his birds are like? How deep are they, frequency, style, etc? Thanks.

You need to go see these birds fly for yourself......pick them out of the air. Remember that Monty was one of the best at flying his pigeons and knew how to get the most out of them. Glenn

Roller I've seen them and they are very good, but that does'nt mean that you are buying the same thing and I doubt that you will be,and at one time I played around with birds bred by Monty Nieble, since his death the guy that ended up with his birds went into mass production breeding out of everything that was on his property including kitbirds, and it wasnt a pretty sight and birds ended up everywhere now from the sound of it others are doing the same thing, thats too bad as the Nieble name will just be dragged through the dirt due to his name being attached to these guys using his name as a sales tool, other than John Wiens who used Montys birds as a base many years ago not many has done well with them, what I found was that out of what I was working with here were no better than my own family and I was getting low percentages so I gave them up,keep in mind that I was limited on just a couple of pairs out of the the birds bred by Nieble and with time and work could have gotten the numbers of good ones up,I got rid of them because I didn't need a project,a buddy got a few of originals also and has gotten more good one's than I did but is still nothing more than a side project to play with, bottom line is that they are no better than any other well bred family of birds, but without a doubt he was a master with them,I will tell you this,I read some letters in some bullitens out of S. africa that he had wrote and the "depth" of his understanding of these birds gave me a lot to think about and a real respect for the man,it's just to bad that his life's work is being wasted away !!!!
P.S. who's running the add ?
