Paul,
I can understand how you feel. When I flew club comps I used to have alot of fun but I really did not enjoy the flying part. I had just got out of the service and was working two full time jobs and trying to find time for a growing family. I did enjoy the friends that i met and the help they tried to give me. My personal likes in the BR breed weren't exactly what was doing well in the comps..
I recently decided to rejoin the comp world and am presently working on getting a kit going. I have been with my present club for the last 8 years and have enjoyed making friends even though I never competed. Reading some of the posts on this Forum, I have to wonder if all of this bickering and back stabbing is getting worse. I would like to try flying the Fall fly and the WC but if this is the kind of BS that I will have to put up with... it won't happen! I enjoy my birds but they will always be a hobby for me.
Tracey
