I'm new to pigeons, what type of waterer is best?
I have found that mine is full of feathers and crud and where is the best place for it?

I have the type that has 4 clear flaps that the bird uses to push its head through in order to get a drink. I find that this type is less inclined to get feather dust and dirt/droppings etc in them. However I still change the water before every feed. I find that in a kitbox I don't have much room therefore it goes next to the door where there is no perched above it. Fore the breeders it is best to have it off the floor. Say at least two bricks high on a platform big enough so the birds have axcess.
