Hello, I am wondering what you guys do before breeding season to clean the birds if in case they are infected. I have many youngs died in nest and looking for solution to prevent this and have sound healthy youngsters

I would go back and read the posts under the "Sudden Chick Death". Some good sound advice there that should answer your questions. Brian.

Rauf in one of the prior posts you mentioned a real problem with Rodents,do not "ever" leave feed out and make sure that what you store cannot be contaminated,rodents contaminating feed is a serious problem and will cause havoc with the birds,if you have young dying in the nest and a many black eggs "theres a problem"

Ok, so basically I need to treat for E-Coli and worm before breeding. Also I keep feed in garage and stopped throwing leftover in backyard. The wheat I have is very poor quality, wonder if this is causing problem.
By searching net I found few articles on breeding however they are for Homers. There is an advice to vaccinate birds before breeding for paramyxovirus (PMV), paratyphoid and pox. Do you guys do that?
