We have West Nile Virus bad in my area. I am worried asbout the birds getting infected. Also, generally, we have allot of mosquitos in our yard. Has anyone tried using sonar or found any type of mosquito control that does not have an adverse affect on birds? I even thought about some of the sonar devices or candles, but I know birds are sensitive to about everything. Any thoughts appreciated.

Here are my thoughts: put up fine mesh material over open windows (avail at Home Depot), remove any standing water in local area, use the sticky fly strips (keep away from where birds can get caught). You probably can only minimize the critters and reduce the odds of getting an infection but because of your concern, anything will be better than nothing...Good Luck. Tony Chavarria
