Hey Jody, (Edited By Moderator) They are like any other family, you get some average ones, you get some really really outstanding ones, and you get some out and out junk that needs to be culled right away. I would say that they are more individual type deep spinners rather than shorter working competition birds. I sold a few of my cages while doing a room addition last year because I needed the extra space and am a bit overcrowded right now. Also, my work schedule isn't leaving me much time for the birds this year so I am going to let a few go and concentrate on mainly breeding a few from 3 select pairs from a competition bred family. Good Luck, Russ

Russ whats a "shorter working" competition bird ? as long as the B line back to the team it's a good competition bird regardless of the depth, these birds can only go so deep doing it properly, after that they are going to flaw in the spin or fight coming out which equels a sloppy exit.

I will try and clarify what I mean by 'shorter working' birds. The Continentals can be too deep for competition as many tend to roll 50-60'or so and cannot regroup very well. Not all roll that deep but many do! What I mean by shorter working competition type birds is birds that can roll 15-30' and regroup and set up for the next break quickly, and do it often. I am just generalizing and comparing between the birds I have and not anyone elses.
